The hot springs were a nice way to relax after a busy day exploring the city. The meals were quite good, although a bit expensive. the hotel was located in a central area, which made it easy to get around to different attractions.
The room was incredibly small for the price we paid. We were also disappointed to find out that there was no bathroom in the room, despite it being listed as a facility on some websites.

Spent an unforgettable New Year's Eve in a charming Japanese ryokan. Loved the authentic Japanese Onsen with red bridges and Japan's iconic buildings as seen in a popular anime movie. This traditional Onsen was one of the highlights of my stay. the unique and large-sized room, along with delicious meals, offered me a luxurious experience as they followed traditional Japanese customs. Best aspects: Located away from the touristy places, this hotel was perfect for my peaceful New Year's getaway, but not far from Nakanojo's beautiful scenery.
The language barrier with a limited number of English-speaking staff was an issue that can be improved. the classic old bathhouse was more of a museum artefact than a usable facility, and the buildings' characterful history made them harder to maintain.
